Platform architecture

Proposed and led the move from four to five Python and Go services to a modular Go platform that runs as one deployment while allowing selected services to run separately.

Extensible key management

Designed three key-custody modes for locally wrapped keys, KMS- or HSM-wrapped keys stored in the database, and keys held entirely by an external provider.

Encrypted streaming

Designed and wrote Go SDK support for out-of-order encrypted uploads without buffering entire objects.

An AI fishing guide that uses live conditions, nearby water, and trip context to recommend what to do next.

Designed, built, and released the iOS and Android apps as a solo engineer.

Built the app and backend, then handled subscriptions, analytics, support, paid acquisition, and store releases.

Keeps trip history private and under the user's control while using current conditions and trip context for guidance.

  1. Software architecture

    At Virtru, I work on OpenTDF's Go architecture, key management, SDKs, and deployment model for on-premises and disconnected products.

  2. Platform engineering and leadership

    Built authentication and delivery systems, led a multi-cloud platform migration, and managed a three-person team while continuing to write code.

  3. Platform architecture

    Led OpenShift adoption across four data centers, automated cluster delivery, started architecture reviews, and organized an engineering community.

  4. Application development

    Built an employee wellness platform and a cross-platform voice navigation prototype for the myCigna mobile app.
